RECOATING One of the easiest and most economical ways to extend the life and beauty of your floor is to recoat it on a regular basis (every 4-7 years, depending on usage). A recoat involves a very light sanding or “buffing” to the existing top coat of finish, and applying either one or two coats of new protective finish.
